Manga rares: the OP chase ladder
Manga rares use black-and-white manga panel art. Collectors treat them as a top-tier lane — often above color alternate arts. Match ID and manga treatment, then compare sold comps.
Identify manga art
Look for inked panel artwork, not a full-color alt. Confirm the collector ID (OP01-120, OP05-119, OP02-013, and so on). Wrong-art listings are common on high-search names.
Headline manga rares
Start with Shanks, Nami, Ace, Gear 5 Luffy, Law, Zoro, Sabo, Rayleigh, and Roger. Open the character page if you want every printing of one name.
How to buy
Compare recent sold comps for the same art and grade, then check live listings with shipping in mind. Set an alert below fair value. GrailHawk does not authenticate cards.

FAQ
Is a manga rare the same as an alternate art?
No. Manga rares use black-and-white panel art. Color alternate arts are a different product with different comps.
Should I buy graded manga rares?
High-value manga rares often trade graded for liquidity. Raw NM can work if photos show clean edges and surface — compare sold comps in the same grade.
